Collegiate Ministries

No matter if you’ve lived in Fulton all your life or you’re a university student brand new to the area, our church family at First Baptist wants every student to feel “at home” with us! At FBC you’ll find people who will warmly welcome you and strive to be an encouragement to you continually. It’s our goal to share the good news of Jesus Christ so that every student may come to know Him personally as Savior and Lord and then grow in that relationship through study of God’s Word, worship, fellowship, service and outreach. At First Baptist Church we will encourage you to become actively involved in the ministries using your gifts and talents for the glory of the Lord. We invite you to come and join with other students as we seek to magnify and exalt the name of Jesus!

What's Happening for Students @ FBC?

COLLEGE LUNCHES: Once per month after the worship service, the smell of home cooking rises from the church fellowship hall. This monthly meal is provided for college students giving them an opportunity to fellowship together while enjoying a delicious meal prepared by some of the best cooks in the church!

BIBLE STUDY: Every Sunday at 9:45 am college students are encouraged to attend this time for diving into the Bible to learn what God’s Word has to say and then make the personal application to their individual lives.

WORSHIP: FBC offers two opportunities for corporate worship each week at 8:30 am (traditional/blended worship) and 10:55 am (contemporary worship). Students who play instruments or enjoy singing have the opportunity to participate with the praise teams that lead the contemporary worship service. (Interpretation for the deaf is offered at both worship services)

[Students Leading Worship]

Students from both WC and WWU leading worship time while
WWU Interpreting major, Jenna Griffith, signs for the hearing impaired.

PRAYER SUPPORT: Our “Prayer Guardian” program offers students the opportunity to have someone in the church to “adopt” them and pray for them on a regular basis and as special needs arise. In addition to praying for their students these prayer guardians will frequently be in contact with the students offering loving support and a source of encouragement.
