This is some of the Stained Glass that was saved out of the First Baptist Church building that was constructed in 1909. That building was torn down to make room for our current building that was dedicated in 1971.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he
leads me beside quiet waters, he restores
my soul. He guides me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake. Even
though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for
you are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. You prepare a table
before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup
overflows. Surely goodness and love will
follow me all the days of my life, and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan
to be baptized by John. But John tried to
deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by
you, and do you come to me?" Jesus replied,
"Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do
this to fulfill all righteousness." Then
John consented. As soon as Jesus was
baptized, he went up out of the water. At
that moment heaven was opened, and he saw
the Spirit of God descending like a dove and
lighting on him. And a voice from heaven
said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him
I am well pleased."
Matthew 3:13-17
Now a man came up to Jesus and asked,
"Teacher, what good thing must I do
to get eternal life?" "Why do you ask
me about what is good?" Jesus replied,
"There is only One who is good. If
you want to enter life, obey the
commandments." "Which ones?" the man
inquired. Jesus replied, "Do not
murder, do not commit adultery, do not
steal, do not give false testimony,
honor your father and mother, and love
your neighbor as yourself." "All these
I have kept." the young man said.
"What do I still lack?" Jesus answered,
"If you want to be perfect, go, sell
your possessions and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven.
Then come, follow me."
Matthew 19:16-21
I have found a friend in Jesus,
He's everything to me,
He's the fairest of ten thousand
to my soul;
The Lily of the Valley,
in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and
make me fully whole.
In sorrow He's my comfort,
in trouble He's my stay;
He tells me every care on
Him to roll.
He's the Lily of the Valley,
the Bright and Morning Star,
He's the fairest of ten
thousand to my soul.
