The Baptists’ first church building in Fulton was a two-story stone structure, dedicated in 1857. It stood on East Fifth Street in the general vicinity of the present Fulton Auto Supply store. The lower level of this building housed Fulton’s first public school.

In 1884, Baptists moved from the stone building on Fifth Street into a new brick structure on the present church site at Seventh and Court Streets. In order to build on this site, a wooden structure that had once housed Fulton’s Presbyterian Church was torn down.

[FBC Second Building]

By 1909, Baptists had built their third church building in slightly more than 50 years. This beautiful brick structure served as a house of worship for 61 years.

The present building was dedicated in June 1971. This building was remodeled in 1998.
